Our Fire Risk Assessors

Blackwood Fire engage the services of independent fire risk assessors who we consider to be some of the most experienced in the UK.

They have acquired vast experience during their long careers and senior roles within the Fire Service, and over many years of hands-on, high level, practical experience in fire risk assessing, including recently carrying out urgent fire risk assessment reviews on tower block buildings and similar properties for local authorities in London and other areas.

We provide fire risk assessments on a completely impartial basis with the aim of providing the person, business or organisation, with the information that will enable them to fulfil their legal requirements under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and ensure that people using or visiting the relevant premises, are protected. as far as is possible, from the potentially life-threatening consequences of fire.

Protecting life should always be the main focus, but by implementing any action points and recommendations provided within your fire risk assessment, you will also be helping to protect your business or organisation from potentially disastrous consequences whilst also complying with current UK fire legislation.

Both Shaun Doyle and Stephen Burrows are accredited fire risk assessors under the Warrington Fire Risk Assessors Certified Scheme (FRACS).

Fire Risk Assessors - What is the FRACS scheme?

This scheme identifies fire risk assessors who have been assessed for their competence to complete high quality fire risk assessments.

The requirement to conduct regular fire risk assessments is essentially the responsibility of any owner, manager, employer or occupier of any premises in order to provide safety for those that utilise those premises.

In the UK it is a legal requirement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to maintain such an assessment for any building.
